Breast cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the breast tissue, most commonly in the ducts or lobules. It can affect both women and men, though it is far more common in women.

- Lump or thickening in the breast or underarm
- Change in breast size or shape
- Nipple discharge (especially bloody discharge)
- Skin dimpling or redness
- Pain in the breast or nipple
- Inverted nipple
- Swelling or irritation of breast skin
Diagnosis
Doctors use several methods to diagnose breast cancer:
- Clinical breast examination
- Mammography

- MRI scan
- Biopsy (removing a small tissue sample for testing)
- Blood tests and imaging for staging if needed
